This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Perform high-volume outbound calls directed at potential businesses that frequently engage in international shipping.
• Engage with key decision-makers to evaluate their international shipping volumes, existing carrier agreements, and overall fit with our platform.
• Verify prospective accounts against the internal database before outreach to ensure territory availability and compliance.
• Provide qualified prospects with access credentials to the system and effectively communicate the value proposition along with the subsequent steps for onboarding.
• Conduct structured follow-up calls to cultivate prospect interest, respond to initial inquiries, and actively convert leads into engaged shipping customers.
• Keep detailed records of all outreach efforts, pipeline updates, and client interactions within the specified CRM systems.
• Collaborate closely with company Directors to guarantee a smooth transition of accounts once they become active shippers.
• A proven history in B2B sales, cold calling, outbound prospecting, or lead generation.
• Prior sales experience in the shipping, logistics, courier, or freight forwarding industries is highly desirable.
• Strong phone presence, outstanding active listening abilities, and the confidence to navigate gatekeepers and engage with executive decision-makers.
• Highly organized self-starter capable of independently managing consistent follow-up workflows.
• Comfortable using internal sales portals and digital platforms as an integral part of the daily workflow.
• Experience applying consultative sales techniques to identify client pain points.
• Proven success in overseeing the entire early-stage sales cycle, including warm follow-ups rather than exclusively first-touch cold outreach.
• Familiarity with contemporary sales technology stacks, including CRM software, VoIP platforms, and outbound dialing tools.
