This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Configure, maintain, and operate the ServiceNow ITOM suite, with a primary emphasis on Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Discovery.
• Develop and uphold ITOM processes, policies, and procedures that align with industry standards and best practices.
• Monitor and manage software licenses and hardware inventory, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct regular audits of software and hardware assets to uncover discrepancies and potential compliance issues.
• Analyze asset data to recognize trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Generate and present reports on software compliance, asset utilization, and other critical metrics to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights based on asset data.
• Execute audits to guarantee compliance with software licensing terms and conditions.
• Identify and address under- or over-utilization of software licenses.
• Optimize software license usage to achieve cost savings and enhance efficiency.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date software asset records within the SAM/HAM tool.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Stay updated with ServiceNow releases, features, and trends in the ITOM industry.
• Discover opportunities for process improvement and automation throughout the asset management lifecycle.
• Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations management.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of nine (9) years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
• Secret Clearance.
• Extensive experience with the capabilities and tools of the ServiceNow platform, including scripting, customization, and configurations.
• Practical experience with ServiceNow ITOM, SAM, and HAM modules.
• Experience in configuring and managing ServiceNow Discovery.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery, SAM, or HAM.
• IAT Level II Certification in one of the following areas: CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP.
• MA/MS degree preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is desirable.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is also desired.
• Previous experience working with government or defense clients is preferred.
