ServiceNow Architect – HAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop the long-term architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for Hardware Asset Management within ServiceNow.

• Lead the design of scalable and secure HAM solutions encompassing the entire hardware asset lifecycle.

• Convert business requirements from Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT into architectural designs and technical specifications.

• Act as the subject matter expert and principal architect for the ServiceNow HAM module.

• Design the ServiceNow CMDB for hardware assets, focusing on data integrity, relationships, normalization, reconciliation, and discovery strategies.

• Create and implement automated HAM workflows utilizing Service Catalog, Flow Designer, and custom modules.

• Design and manage integrations between ServiceNow HAM, enterprise systems, discovery tools, and asset inventory systems.

• Set data quality standards, governance frameworks, and reconciliation processes.

• Architect tracking systems for hardware asset costs, depreciation, leases, contracts, and total cost of ownership analysis.

• Automate financial processes and reporting related to assets.

• Develop strategies for hardware asset utilization, lifecycle optimization, and refresh planning.

• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and governance policies.

• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and oversight to developers, administrators, and implementation partners.

• Lead technical design reviews.

• Collaborate with leaders in Procurement, Operations, IT, and Compliance to gather requirements, build consensus, and facilitate adoption.

• Keep track of ServiceNow HAM features, industry trends, and emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field may substitute for 5 years of experience).

• More than 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a ServiceNow Architect role.

• In-depth and demonstrable expertise with the ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module.

• Extensive hands-on experience and architectural proficiency with ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery, specifically for hardware assets.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing complex integrations between ServiceNow HAM and other systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the entire hardware asset lifecycle, from strategic planning and procurement to deployment, maintenance, and disposal.

• Proficient in ServiceNow platform capabilities, including Flow Designer, Service Portal, Custom Application Development, Scripting (JavaScript), and best practices.

• Strong grasp of ITIL principles, particularly in relation to asset management.

• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Active secret clearance.

• ServiceNow CIS-HAM certification is highly beneficial.

• ServiceNow CSA and other relevant CIS certifications are preferred.

• Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM), industry asset management standards, mobile asset management solutions, financial asset management concepts, and government contracting is preferred.
