Service Technician/Mechanic – Commercial HVAC/R, Kitchen Equipment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Efficiently troubleshoot, identify issues, and repair Commercial Refrigeration Equipment, Ice Machines, and HVAC systems, which includes the installation and repair of systems through mounting, installing, fabricating, or connecting compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion and discharge valves, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, and other related components; ensures completion of power connections;

• Service commercial kitchen and cooking equipment such as mixers, grilles/griddles, char-grills, ovens (deck and pizza), warming cabinets, holding cabinets, food wells, fryers, steamers, and pasta cookers;

• Liaise with manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnostics and parts identification;

• Collaborate with the Operations Department for technical support during onsite visits and when scheduling follow-up work;

• Coordinate with the Parts Department to facilitate parts ordering;

• Install all ordered parts for the customer promptly and professionally, adhering to company policies;

• Promote and suggest additional services to customers when appropriate;

• Generate accurate and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time sheets, receipts, and truck stock inventory;

• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols;

• Keep the service truck organized and maintain an accurate inventory of parts and tools;

• Meet productivity standards set by the company;

• Provide assistance to fellow Service Technicians/Mechanics with troubleshooting and technical support as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent;

• Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record;

• Proficient understanding of 3 phase and gas regulators, along with the ability to utilize a volt meter;

• At least three (3) years of trade-related experience, which includes installing refrigeration piping, brazing, setting up display cases, condensing units, compressor racks, and rooftop condensers;

• Capability to diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including but not limited to Ice Machines, light commercial equipment, package, and split HVAC systems;

• Ability to read and interpret refrigeration legends, construction drawings, and equipment manuals;

• Physically capable of climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting objects up to fifty pounds;

• Willingness and ability to perform On-Call and emergency after-hours duties as necessary to ensure service coverage;

• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers, dispatch, and management;

• EPA Universal Certification.
