Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver service support for Fastems equipment at client locations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

• Respond to breakdowns and address customer issues on-site.

• Assist with the installation of new capital equipment.

• Serve as the communication bridge between clients, the Head of Service, and the service department.

• Collaborate with office and administrative teams to provide effective service solutions.

• Represent Fastems products and the organization as a brand ambassador.

• Evaluate complex technical requirements and offer customers appropriate solutions.

• Implement new business initiatives within the territory, including Service Cloud, ERP Roll-Out, and OPU.

• Ensure that customer expectations are fulfilled and that machinery service is delivered efficiently to enhance productivity and achieve production objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in field service with regular overnight travel to customer locations for extended periods.

• Capability to function in a high-precision production setting at customer sites.

• Proficiency in electro/mechanical fault diagnosis within a service/maintenance context.

• Familiarity with CNC, robotics, and automation systems is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Relevant academic qualifications or practical experience that supports the required skill set.

• Competence in computer use and familiarity with software and Windows-based systems.

• Vocational experience in a service/maintenance capacity.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and passport.

• Professional demeanor with a personable, customer-centric approach.

• Excellent organization and time management abilities.

• Capacity to manage workload independently.

• Readiness to travel frequently to customer sites.
