This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Oversee and expand a portfolio of services within the U.S. utility sector.
• Develop a robust opportunity pipeline and enhance forecasting accuracy.
• Support and implement sector growth strategies while identifying high-value accounts.
• Keep track of short-, mid-, and long-term prospects and manage forecasting inputs effectively.
• Formulate account and sector strategies by analyzing customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights.
• Execute campaigns aimed at winning, renewing, and expanding multi-year service agreements.
• Work collaboratively with marketing, business development, technical product management, and proposal teams on go-to-market initiatives.
• Market services to utility and related sectors while achieving volume, mix, and profitability goals.
• Provide market, competitor, and industry analyses to guide commercial priorities and response strategies.
• Negotiate and finalize service agreements and contracts efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Report directly to the Regional Service Sales Manager.
• Must possess work authorization allowing employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in sales or marketing, ideally within the energy or power systems sector.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to influence and cultivate relationships at all organizational levels.
• Solid understanding of the U.S. utility landscape, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
• Proficient in Salesforce and Power BI.
• Skilled in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 60% of the time.
• Competence in delivering technical presentations to varied audiences both in-person and virtually.
• MBA is preferred.
