This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +6 more states.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and program managers to design, manage, enhance, and optimize large-scale computer-based services.
• Comprehend caregiver, business, and technical requirements.
• Contribute to service architecture, operability, and caregiver scenarios that comply with standards and KPIs.
• Evaluate service delivery systems and pinpoint improvements that support service delivery and KPIs.
• Diagnose and engineer solutions for service issues while minimizing disruption.
• Take ownership of problems until they are permanently resolved and deliver innovations based on past experiences.
• Engage in disaster recovery drills and incident response management during off-hours as necessary.
• Analyze actual versus projected capacity needs and support viable cost models.
• Optimize the utilization of financial resources.
• Identify and rectify platform, system, deployment, and environmental issues prior to release.
• Ensure on-time, predictable, high-quality releases.
• Participate in triage, root cause analysis, trend analysis, and postmortems.
• Implement solutions.
• Guarantee that production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure, effective, and continuously monitored.
• Gather metrics on service availability, performance, system health, and long-term trends for service intelligence analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in automation, particularly in relation to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes.
• Experience with n-tier solutions.
• Familiarity with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and the ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually).
• Competence in reading, writing, configuring code, and designing end-to-end service telemetry, alerting, and self-healing capabilities.
• Proven expertise in web services, virtualization, and cloud concepts.
• Knowledgeable in Windows Server, virtualization, SQL Server, network technologies, Active Directory, and cloud technologies and services.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create technical presentations and documents.
• Basic project management skills.
• Azure certification is preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
