This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repairs on customer equipment.
• Execute installation, validation, and maintenance tasks on assigned CT/PET equipment.
• Mentor, instruct, and support less experienced Field Engineers; offer coaching and constructive feedback.
• Act as a technical authority for escalations and FMI’s across one or more modalities.
• Manage customer communications and serve as the primary escalation point for customer issues, including installations.
• Take ownership of customer concerns from dispatch or identification through to resolution.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure suitable solutions for customers.
• Co-facilitate regular team or modality meetings as necessary.
• Assist the Area Service Leader in developing growth and/or deployment strategies.
• Maintain customer relationships and ensure timely communication, resolution, and follow-up.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to fulfill regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Document all work performed on a daily basis, including debriefings, metrics, and parts ordering.
• Partner with customers and/or sales teams to suggest value-added services.
• Utilize the GE HealthCare escalation process and collaborate with regional and national support on corrective action plans.
• Provide application training to clinical or scientific personnel on designated equipment as required.
• Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent military training with 6 years of experience in servicing electronic equipment, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of pertinent experience.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with web applications and Microsoft Suite products.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
• Willingness to be available after hours and/or participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Capacity to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Capability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity.
