This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the design lead with planning and executing research initiatives.
• Take ownership of outreach and recruitment for grant recipients for interviews, usability testing, and related research activities.
• Leverage AI to enhance research processes and establish best practices and standards.
• Collaborate with the design lead to map current grant reporting workflows, pinpointing pain points and opportunities to alleviate burdens.
• Compile research findings for product and engineering teams to guide priorities and critical decisions.
• Conduct discovery and validation activities concurrently with delivery, while adapting to evolving priorities.
• Foster strong relationships with existing clients and other program offices within ACF.
• Facilitate client discussions, guiding various perspectives towards a unified direction.
• Document processes and results for client-facing communications.
• Maintain internal design artifacts and the research repository.
• Contribute to wireframing and prototyping as necessary.
• Perform content design tasks as required.
• Utilize AI to develop research workflows and repositories.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in service design and/or UX research.
• Strong skills in client management and communication.
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• Capability to obtain and retain a federal public trust clearance.
• Resided in the U.S. for 3 out of the last 5 years.
• Experience in designing digital forms and the associated workflows (preferred).
