This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the performance of external design consultants, such as architects, engineers, and specialty contractors, from their selection through the construction administration phase.

• Ensure that design deliverables align with client branding, functional requirements, and sustainability objectives.

• Conduct design evaluations at critical milestones to ensure compliance with project briefs and technical specifications.

• Facilitate value engineering while preserving design integrity and quality.

• Provide early alerts regarding potential design schedule delays and implement strategies for mitigation.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, project managers, and design teams to address technical challenges.

• Manage documentation required for permit applications and regulatory submissions.

• Advocate for client interests during design meetings.

• Create and present architectural briefs based on business and stakeholder requirements.

• Oversee design consultant outputs to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accessibility.

• Act as the main point of contact for design oversight and strategic coordination throughout the project lifecycle.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation program, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited architectural program.

• 1 to 5 years of experience in commercial project design, construction, or project management.

• Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents.

• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit software.

• Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, including budget analysis and project cost tracking.

• Capability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to clients, management, and project teams.

• Ability to empower and negotiate successfully with external consultants and internal stakeholder groups.

• Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry-standard procurement processes.

• Ability to make informed decisions with a thorough understanding of company policies and business practices.

• NCIDQ certification or architectural registration is preferred.
