This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Install operating systems on newly mounted servers.
• Responsible for reinstalling server operating systems and addressing any abnormalities.
• Handle daily server maintenance, troubleshoot issues, repair servers, and follow up on break-fix situations involving the server and other hardware.
• Maintain data in internal systems, including asset management, ticketing, and rack-related information.
• Collaborate with remote vendors, manufacturers, or other teams to resolve server batch failures and related issues.
• On-call duty, responsible for addressing problems raised by business owners.
• Collect and verify the status of online assets or identify any issues.
• Erase drives or adjust configurations for servers that are being retired or relocated.
• Retrofit tools by updating or creating scripts.
• Submit and monitor the part RMA or media destruction process as needed.
• Conduct server network troubleshooting.
• Manage server lifecycle including overseeing the performance of OxMs.
• Perform other tasks related to server operations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong capacity to perform under pressure; excellent learning ability with a broad technical interest; highly responsible and enthusiastic about work.
• Proficient communication skills in English; knowledge of Mandarin is preferred; strong teamwork spirit; ability to work independently.
• Understanding of the interdependencies within Data Center functions and technologies, including Facilities.
• Familiarity with basic data analytic skills.
• Experience with large-scale remote OS installations, such as PXE boot.
• Ability to understand and execute Bash Shell or Python scripts.
• Knowledge of simple automation tools, such as Ansible.
• Proficiency with Linux systems, capable of identifying server hardware/bare-metal faults; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP concepts, including Subnetting, VLANs, DNS, and IPv6; ability to conduct general troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of out-of-band/lights-out server communication methods, including IPMI and NCSI.
• Excellent documentation skills and practices.
