This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Install operating systems on newly mounted servers.
• Oversee the reinstallation of server operating systems and address any abnormalities.
• Conduct daily maintenance of servers, including troubleshooting, repairs, and follow-up on break-fix issues for servers and other hardware.
• Manage data on internal systems, encompassing asset management, ticketing, and rack-related information.
• Collaborate with remote vendors, manufacturers, or other teams to resolve server batch failures and issues.
• Serve on-call duty, addressing problems raised by the business owner side.
• Gather and verify the status or issues of online assets.
• Wipe drives or adjust configurations for retiring or relocating servers.
• Update or write scripts to enhance certain tools.
• Submit and monitor the part RMA or media destruction processes as necessary.
• Troubleshoot server networks.
• Manage the server lifecycle, including overseeing the performance of OxMs.
• Perform other tasks related to server operations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong aptitude for learning, with a broad technical interest.
• High sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for work.
• Proficient communication skills in English; Mandarin is preferred, along with a good team-oriented mindset.
• Capability to work independently.
• Understanding of the interdependencies among Data Center functions and technologies, including Facilities.
• Familiarity with basic data analytic skills.
• Experience with large-scale remote OS installations, such as PXE boot.
• Ability to comprehend and execute Bash Shell or Python scripts.
• Knowledge of basic automation tools, like Ansible.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and the ability to identify server hardware/bare metal faults.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP concepts, including subnetting, VLANs, DNS, and IPv6.
• Competence in performing general troubleshooting.
• Understanding of out-of-band/lights-out server communication methods, such as IPMI and NCSI.
