This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in enhancing organic search performance for various K12-powered schools' digital marketing initiatives.
• Carry out keyword research and analyze search intent for designated pages and topics.
• Implement on-page optimization, which includes title tags, meta descriptions, headers, body content, and internal linking.
• Conduct content refreshes on priority pages guided by ranking and traffic data.
• Utilize local SEO best practices for individual school location pages and geographic targeting.
• Identify technical issues such as indexation, canonicals, and crawl errors for the internal team to address.
• Develop data-driven content briefs that encompass target keywords, intent, and structure.
• Review and refine content created by writers prior to publication.
• Adhere to established SEO guidelines and templates throughout the subdomain network.
• Deliver monthly performance reports on optimized and refreshed pages, including insights on rankings, traffic, and engagement.
• Ensure comprehensive, timely, and precise communications.
• Perform tasks using SEO technologies and platforms specific to the organization.
• Work autonomously, typically committing to 40 hours per week.
• No direct supervisory responsibilities.
• A minimum of three (3) years of practical SEO experience, whether in-house or at an agency, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Strong proficiency in keyword research and search intent mapping.
• Experience with SEMrush or Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
• Documented evidence of ranking and traffic enhancements supported by specific examples.
• Familiarity with indexation, canonicals, internal linking, and structured data.
• Excellent written communication skills with the capability to craft SEO-optimized content.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team-oriented setting.
• Highly organized, detail-focused, and consistently able to meet deadlines.
