This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the exploration of each client's market, competitors, and target audience before drafting any SEO strategy.
• Create keyword research, topical maps, and SEO strategies customized to fit each client's industry and objectives.
• Convert strategies into straightforward, actionable roadmaps that clients can effectively implement.
• Conduct comprehensive technical and on-page audits, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data/schema, and internal linking.
• Prioritize necessary fixes and collaborate with developers and the website team to implement them.
• Brief and guide content writers to ensure that content addresses search intent, topical authority, and E-E-A-T (rather than merely focusing on keyword density).
• Oversee on-page optimization (titles, meta data, headings, schema, internal linking) across all client websites.
• Develop link-building and digital PR strategies based on genuine authority rather than sheer volume.
• Manage local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization, particularly for local brick-and-mortar business clients.
• Monitor AI Overviews, AEO, GEO, and conversational/generative search, transforming that insight into strategies clients can implement ahead of their competitors.
• Utilize Search Atlas (including OTTO AI automation) and other AI SEO tools to expedite technical fixes, content optimization, and reporting—while ensuring a personalized and thorough review of every output.
• Track rankings, traffic, and visibility (GA4, Search Console, rank tracking) and report transparently—avoiding vanity metrics.
• Maintain ongoing technical and content health across all client websites on a monthly basis.
• 3-5+ years of SEO experience, predominantly agency-side, managing multiple clients and industries simultaneously.
• Practical experience with Search Atlas (or a similar enterprise SEO platform) and comfortable integrating AI tools into everyday SEO practices.
• Strong foundational knowledge in technical SEO, on-page, off-page/link building, local SEO, keyword research, and competitor analysis.
• Proficient in the AI search landscape (AI Overviews, AEO, GEO, LLM visibility) and eager to stay updated as it evolves.
• Comfortable briefing and collaborating with content writers, even if you're not the one crafting the content.
• Confident in using GA4, Google Search Console, GTM, and rank tracking tools.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating SEO decisions in simple terms to clients and colleagues without SEO expertise.
• Curious and proactive—willing to experiment, learn from mistakes, and make adjustments.
