Senior/Staff Site Reliability Engineer – Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Enhance operations by applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices with an emphasis on user experience, monitoring, and automation.

• Design, construct, and manage the data center that supports the Machine Learning team.

• Create highly secure on-premises environments that comply with NIST/ISO standards.

• Seamlessly integrate on-premises data center environments with existing cloud infrastructure to establish a hybrid cloud ecosystem.

• Strengthen infrastructure reliability and resilience through root-cause analysis, design-gap evaluations, and implementation enhancements.

• Engage in platform on-call rotations and provide assistance during urgent incident responses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

• Understanding of contemporary data center network designs and operations across various network layers.

• Proficient in overseeing physical hardware stacks in production environments, including iDRAC, IPMI, Nvidia UFM, and Juniper systems.

• Experience with virtualization, containerization, or container orchestration platforms such as EKS-Anywhere, ClusterAPI, or KVM.

• Familiarity with storage solutions and optimizations for high-performance workloads, including Quobyte, S3, FSx, or EFS.

• Automation expertise using scripting and configuration management tools like Ansible and RedFish.

• Proven experience in establishing monitoring infrastructure with tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.

• Background in managing critical production infrastructure, incident response, scaling challenges, and rapid growth scenarios.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Capability to quickly adapt and learn in a complex environment.

• Willingness to occasionally travel to onsite data center locations.

• Annual salary range of $165,750 - $224,450.
