Senior/Staff Applied Research Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, test, and implement code for prototypes and new product functionalities.

• Work alongside team members to tackle technical challenges and enhance solution designs.

• Engage in code reviews, documentation practices, and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Explore modern tools, frameworks, and cutting-edge technologies.

• Adjust to changing requirements and provide insights on process enhancements.

• Design, develop, and execute prototypes as well as production-ready solutions.

• Collaborate with colleagues to explore AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.

• Take part in code reviews and contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering best practices.

• Convey progress and technical concepts to stakeholders and team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably in full stack development.

• Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or Java).

• Experience with front-end (React, Angular) and/or back-end (Node.js, Springboot) technologies.

• Knowledge of database fundamentals (SQL or NoSQL).

• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and solve problems effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Possess an agentic coding operating model that effectively utilizes skills/MCP/LLMs for AI-assisted coding.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and address issues without requiring constant assistance to unblock execution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• More than 5 years of professional full stack software development experience.

• Proficient in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.

• Experience in building applications using front-end (React, Angular) and/or back-end (Node.js, Springboot) frameworks.

• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL or NoSQL).

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach.

• Effective communication skills for technical discourse.

• Next-Gen Workflow: Mastery of an agentic coding operating model; highly effective at leveraging advanced development tools, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and LLMs to significantly enhance AI-assisted development.
