
Senior/Principal Product Manager – Developer Foundations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the vision and strategy for Bitwarden's internal developer platform, including CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
• Incorporate AI functionalities such as GitHub Copilot, AI-driven test generation, and automated documentation into developer workflows.
• Set up AI governance at the platform level along with human-in-the-loop guardrails.
• Facilitate the transition of QA and SRE capabilities into scalable, automated platform services.
• Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering leadership to evolve towards an event-driven modular platform.
• Develop tools that enable the independent and rapid deployment of various secure products.
• Oversee the intake and prioritization of internal tooling initiatives.
• Leverage data-driven Quarterly Commitments to minimize technical debt and alleviate downstream bottlenecks.
• Enhance developer platforms through instrumentation to improve deployment frequency, lead time, mean time to recovery, escaped defects, and AI-assisted commit rates.
• Engage with technical stakeholders including the CTO, VP of Engineering, and Principal Architects.
• Over 7 years of product management experience, particularly in leading Platform Tooling, Developer Productivity, DevOps, or Internal Tooling teams.
• Demonstrated experience in evaluating, integrating, and governing AI-assisted development tools within a secure software development lifecycle.
• In-depth understanding of distributed architectures, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven messaging.
• Familiarity with C#/.NET, Rust, or similar environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including security, vulnerability scanning, and threat modeling.
• Proven ability to lead teams through rigorous prioritization, shifting focus from output metrics to customer and business outcomes.
• Competence in drafting clear and concise Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
• Capability to collaborate effectively with highly technical stakeholders, including the CTO, VP of Engineering, and Principal Architects.
• Must reside in the United States.
