This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist in enhancing and optimizing Workday HCM solutions for a varied client portfolio
• Act as a reliable advisor and functional expert in Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, and Benefits
• Resolve intricate issues
• Implement configuration improvements
• Provide support for Workday releases
• Aid clients in maximizing their Workday investment value
• Examine business requirements and create functional specifications
• Facilitate testing activities and resolve production issues
• Collaborate with HR, benefits, compensation, payroll, business, and technical stakeholders
• Conduct root cause analysis and offer scalable solutions
• Assist with ongoing optimization, enhancements, release management tasks, and issue resolution
• Lead discussions with clients and offer strategic insights on HR business processes and Workday best practices
• At least 3 years of demonstrable experience in implementing, configuring, or supporting Workday HCM, with hands-on responsibility in a production or post-production (AMS) setting
• Proven experience acting as a functional subject matter expert in Workday HCM, covering Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence Management
• Practical experience in providing post-production support, including resolving complex business processes, security, data, and configuration challenges in a client-facing context
• Over 3 years of experience in analyzing business requirements, generating functional specifications, supporting testing activities, addressing production issues, and directly collaborating with HR, benefits, compensation, payroll, and business stakeholders
• In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM configuration, such as organizational structures, staffing models, business processes, security, worker lifecycle events, and employee transactions
• Proven capability to independently tackle complex functional and operational challenges, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver scalable solutions with minimal supervision
• Experience in ongoing optimization, enhancements, release management tasks, and issue resolution within an AMS, PPS, or managed support framework
• Experience leading client-facing discussions, providing strategic direction, and serving as a trusted advisor on HR business processes and Workday best practices
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Active Workday Certification preferred, with Workday HCM Certification strongly favored
• Additional Workday certifications in Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, and/or Benefits preferred
• Previous experience supporting Workday HCM in AMS, PPS, or Managed Services environments, including Tier 3 production support preferred
• Strong comprehension of end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including hire-to-retire transactions, organizational management, compensation planning, benefits administration, and time-off management
• Experience in supporting medium to large-scale Workday HCM environments featuring complex organizational structures and global or multi-business-unit workforces
• Solid understanding of Workday release management, feature adoption, and impact analysis across HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence modules
