Senior Workday Financials Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Deliver hands-on configuration and functional support across various Workday Financials domains, with a strong emphasis on Financial Accounting.

• Manage intricate Workday Financials configurations from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, and production validation.

• Address production issues, investigate defects, identify root causes, and provide timely, sustainable resolutions.

• Conduct ongoing configuration, enhancements, optimization, and process improvement tasks.

• Convert Finance and Accounting business needs into effective, scalable Workday solutions.

• Assess downstream impacts and dependencies prior to implementing configuration modifications.

• Design solutions that promote long-term platform stability rather than short-term fixes.

• Adapt to different functional areas based on shifting business priorities and workload.

• Collaborate directly with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional business stakeholders.

• Address urgent production needs alongside longer-term strategic projects.

• Assist in reducing operational backlogs and enhancing responsiveness to Finance stakeholders.

• Quickly integrate into an experienced Workday team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials.

• Extensive, hands-on expertise in Workday Financial Accounting configuration.

• Personal accountability for complex Financial Accounting configurations.

• Solid understanding of comprehensive financial processes within Workday.

• Practical experience with Workday Expenses and Workday Business Assets.

• Working knowledge of Workday Banking and Settlement.

• Proficiency across multiple Workday Financials domains.

• Experience in supporting production operations and project-based configuration tasks.

• Familiarity with troubleshooting production defects and conducting root-cause analysis.

• Experience guiding configuration changes through solution design, testing, deployment, and production validation.

• Ability to articulate personally managed configurations, issues, root causes, changes, testing, deployment, and resolutions.

• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and systems-thinking abilities.

• Proficiency in translating business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.

• Experience in delivering clean, sustainable solutions.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders.

• Candidates must reside in approved LATAM sourcing countries.

• Availability during CST/EST-aligned U.S. business hours.

• Knowledge of Workday Financials, Financial Accounting, Expenses, Business Assets, and Banking and Settlement.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with Workday Accounting Center, Workday Prism, integrations, reporting, Orchestrations or other automation frameworks, Procurement, VNDLY, enterprise experience, and cross-functional initiative experience.
