Senior Workday Financials Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as a client-facing consultant for Financials in a post-production setting.

• Provide exceptional managed services for clients utilizing Workday Cloud.

• Offer hands-on assistance across various Workday Financial Management areas, including Budgets, Grants, Procurement, Banking, Expenses, Customers, Suppliers, and Core Accounting.

• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders and work alongside Huron Managers.

• Diagnose issues, configure solutions, and implement improvements.

• Ensure the stability and ongoing enhancement of Workday Financials.

• Evaluate business and financial requirements.

• Create documentation for functional specifications.

• Oversee testing initiatives.

• Provide strategic insights as a Financials solution architect.

• Engage with finance leadership and senior stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of demonstrated success in delivering and supporting Workday Financial Management solutions in a post-production (AMS/PPS) or post-implementation context.

• More than 3 years of experience in analyzing business and financial requirements, documenting functional specifications, leading testing initiatives, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating directly with business and finance stakeholders.

• Proven capability to serve as a client-facing Financials solution architect, offering strategic guidance while remaining actively involved in configuration and issue resolution.

• Strong executive presence with a track record of engaging finance leadership and senior stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, as mandated by Huron.

• Current Workday Financials Certification is preferred.

• Experience with medium to large-scale Workday Financials AMS or post-production support projects is preferred.

• Previous experience in supporting Tier 2 / Tier 3 client support models, including issue prioritization, root-cause analysis, and service-level management is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end financial processes, including procure-to-pay, record-to-report, order-to-cash, and grants lifecycle is preferred.
