This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Develop a scalable WordPress website from the ground up utilizing clean, maintainable front-end and back-end development techniques.
• Transform custom Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress pages for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Create reusable blocks, components, sections, templates, and backend content structures to facilitate efficient page launches for the team.
• Design custom post types, taxonomies, Advanced Custom Fields, and dynamic templates to enable scalable content management.
• Establish programmatic and templated page systems capable of accommodating hundreds or thousands of landing pages over time.
• Uphold robust technical SEO principles, including URL structures, slugs, redirects, sitemap logic, and internal linking systems.
• Enhance website speed, database queries, caching, media handling, plugin usage, and template performance.
• Take ownership of daily website health monitoring, first-line troubleshooting, uptime alerts, performance regressions, and issue escalation as necessary.
• Set up and manage Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, SSL, caching, firewall rules, security basics, and performance optimization.
• Oversee Git-based version control, staging environments, code reviews, testing, and controlled production deployments.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in WordPress development.
• Extensive experience in building custom WordPress themes or significantly customized WordPress websites.
• Demonstrated experience with high-page-count, content-rich, SEO-focused, high-traffic, or programmatic SEO websites.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive development.
• Experience translating Figma or custom designs into production-ready WordPress pages.
• Familiarity with custom post types, taxonomies, Advanced Custom Fields, reusable templates, and scalable content architectures.
• Proficient in using Git, staging environments, and disciplined workflows for staging-to-production deployments.
• Experience with Gutenberg blocks, custom blocks, or structured page builder workflows.
• Knowledgeable in configuring Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, SSL, caching, firewall rules, and essential security measures.
• Skilled in debugging WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, performance issues, hosting challenges, and integration failures.
• Competent in supporting form submissions, analytics tracking, technical SEO implementation, and website optimization.
• Experienced in collaborating with remote teams in growth, content, design, or marketing roles.
