Senior WordPress Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement new software solutions while maintaining current applications.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify objectives.

• Develop, review, and revise technical documentation as needed.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

• Create tests to ensure code functionality.

• Carry out bug fixes as necessary.

• Assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions.

• Engage in troubleshooting and issue triaging, documenting findings appropriately.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in the WordPress ecosystem.

• At least 2 years of experience leading a technical team and providing mentorship.

• Minimum of 2 years developing applications using React.

• Comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle.

• Outstanding organizational and communication abilities.

• Proficiency in modern PHP development (e.g., autoloading, dependency management, dependency injection, templating libraries, automated testing, OOP, and/or frameworks like Symfony or Laravel, etc.).

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of vanilla JavaScript (including experience with webpack, babel, and ES2015+ syntax).

• Strong skills in HTML & CSS (including familiarity with PostCSS or Sass and BEM methodologies).

• Experience with design systems and a design system mindset.

• Familiarity with at least one automated testing framework.

• Comfortable operating within a Linux environment.

• A strong desire to enhance software and systems.

• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
