Senior Wireless Network Engineer, CWNA, CCNP Wireless

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance enterprise WLAN solutions, which encompass site surveys (passive, active, and predictive).

• Develop and support extensive network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN.

• Identify and resolve intricate wireless challenges such as RF interference, roaming issues, coverage deficiencies, and client connectivity problems.

• Lead engagements with clients, providing wireless assessments, RF reports, heatmaps, and project presentations.

• Propel wireless network and security initiatives in tandem with global teams and vendors, ensuring successful execution in mission-critical settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in enterprise wireless networking, encompassing design, deployment, and support.

• CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator) — vendor-neutral wireless knowledge and/or CCNP/CCIE – Wireless.

• Extensive understanding of 802.11 standards (Wi-Fi 5/Wi-Fi 6/6E), RF fundamentals, spectrum analysis, and wireless security protocols (WPA3, 802.1X/EAP, RADIUS).

• Practical experience with Cisco WLC and Cisco Meraki wireless management.

• Familiarity with wireless security frameworks, including rogue detection, WIPS/WIDS, and guest network segmentation.

• Competence in cloud and network management platforms such as SolarWinds, ServiceNow, Infoblox, and similar tools.

• Strong understanding of network monitoring, performance baselining, and wireless optimization methodologies.

• Acquaintance with ITIL service management frameworks.

• Capability to operate in 24x7 critical environments, including on-call availability outside standard business hours and on weekends.

• Excellent presentation and reporting abilities, with the skill to convey RF data, heatmaps, and wireless assessments to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline (Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent).
