Senior Web Automation Engineer, Quality Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Spearhead Airbnb’s strategy for quality engineering and test automation utilizing AI technologies.

• Establish and uphold automation coverage for features and releases, encompassing unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Create and sustain test tools, write and evaluate product code, and engage in design reviews for systems designed for testing.

• Oversee the implementation of automated tests and work alongside engineering teams to enhance test coverage and processes.

• Enhance automation frameworks to accommodate new functionalities and boost quality and efficiency.

• Collaborate with the CI/CD team to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Diagnose issues, isolate problems, verify bug resolutions, and debug issues identified during testing and post-release.

• Partner with product management, development, and other quality engineering teams during short release cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software testing and automation.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as TypeScript or JavaScript, along with strong scripting abilities.

• In-depth understanding of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

• Practical experience with web automation frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.

• Experience in incorporating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, or Jenkins.

• Familiarity with version control systems, including Git.

• Exceptional communication skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.

• Proven expertise in devising solutions for ambiguous challenges and coordinating integrations across multiple teams.

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or an equivalent field.
