Senior Virtual Design Construction Drafter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Efficiently produce deliverable sets independently while adhering to established standards and best practices.

• Start the creation of deliverables by analyzing the information provided and determining subsequent steps.

• Identify gaps in information, collect missing details, and assess the quality of information to ensure the production of accurate and comprehensive drawing sets.

• Integrate customer preferences and constructability considerations derived from past projects.

• Guide and mentor other technicians based on their skill levels while delegating responsibilities appropriately.

• Resolve technical challenges by utilizing experience and available resources effectively.

• Collaborate with project teams, field staff, and vendors to clarify any missing or conflicting data.

• Partner with project leaders to tackle and resolve significant design obstacles.

• Recognize potential areas for standardization and work with the team to update or establish new standards.

• Offer manufacturing and construction support to facilitate seamless project execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or an associate degree (A.A., A.S.) in a relevant field such as Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline from a two-year community college or technical college is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in virtual design and construction, technical modeling, or a comparable role, ideally within the electrical industry.

• Proficient skills in virtual modeling software.

• Strong comprehension of construction documentation.

• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to facilitate complex design processes.

• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards and advanced project coordination is preferred.
