Senior Vice President – Strategic Partnerships, Public Initiatives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and sustain senior-level connections with CEOs of Public Housing Authorities, Executive Directors, board members, elected officials, and other leaders in the public sector.

• Formulate a nationwide strategy for partnerships with housing authorities and pinpoint key markets and opportunities.

• Create prospects involving RAD, Section 18, Choice Neighborhoods, LIHTC, mixed-finance, public-private partnerships, along with other affordable housing initiatives.

• Recognize partnerships or agreements that could yield strategic advantages for NRP developments, including possible tax exemptions and other public-sector benefits.

• Utilize an existing network to uncover opportunities prior to their widespread announcement.

• Act as a reliable advisor and representative of NRP within the public and affordable housing sectors.

• Collaborate closely with NRP's local development teams and senior management to assess and promote opportunities.

• Represent NRP at national conferences, housing authority gatherings, and industry forums.

• Assist in broadening NRP's relationships into new markets outside its current geographic presence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experienced public housing or community development executive with a proven history of leadership and relationship cultivation.

• A well-established national network.

• Extensive understanding of the public housing and affordable housing landscape.

• Strong connections with housing authority executives, board members, elected officials, and other key stakeholders.

• Familiarity with RAD, Section 18, Choice Neighborhoods, LIHTC, and mixed-finance projects.

• Outstanding executive presence, credibility, and skills in relationship-building.

• Capability to swiftly build trust and gain access at the highest organizational levels.

• Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset aimed at generating opportunities instead of merely executing transactions.

• Willingness to travel extensively across the nation.
