Senior Vice President of Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee and ensure the delivery of product and service quality standards for clients

• Provide strategic guidance to Facility/Site Leaders

• Create tactical action plans based on market trends, client needs, capabilities, and financial objectives

• Set organizational expectations that align with RRD policies and ethical standards

• Formulate and execute comprehensive strategic plans

• Establish equipment performance benchmarks and operating cost goals

• Collaborate with Business Unit Leadership to address business challenges

• Propel sales and profitability targets

• Devise growth strategies and enhance or develop capabilities and solutions

• Monitor competitor activities and market trends

• Cultivate talent and recruit new employees

• Create safe and efficient manufacturing operations

• Define business processes, operational metrics, review meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Supervise quality assurance, product safety, client satisfaction, labor management, and facility efficiency

• Coordinate efforts with IT, HR, EHS, Procurement, Sales, Legal, Finance, and Business Unit leadership

• Manage the P&L, budgets, forecasts, cost drivers, and indirect cost structure

• Optimize the use of equipment and personnel, capacity management, work mix, job costing, and pricing strategies

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in printing, engineering, business, or a related field is required

• A Master's degree is preferred

• Over 15 years of experience in print operations within a manufacturing or production environment

• More than 8 years of proven leadership and vision in managing teams, groups, and significant projects or initiatives

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control methodologies

• In-depth knowledge of accounting practices, reporting, and annual budgeting processes

• Demonstrated experience in overseeing staffing, budgets, and fiscal operations that impact the P&L

• Consistent success in achieving revenue and margin objectives

• Experience in developing strategic plans

• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
