This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement the commercial strategy for a newly established business POD focused on Major League Baseball, soccer, women's sports properties, and emerging business sectors.
• Propel revenue growth through existing partner relationships and new business development, taking accountability for ambitious sales goals.
• Discover new sellable assets, category opportunities, and integrated partnership concepts that enhance the portfolio's value.
• Lead the business POD by cultivating a strong culture, developing and acquiring talent, advancing careers, and fostering an environment where the team can excel and find enjoyment in their work.
• Set clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans that enable the POD to scale efficiently while empowering team members to build confidence, capabilities, and long-term careers.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, energy, and commercial excellence while guiding the team through complex opportunities, negotiations, and high-stakes sales moments.
• Act as the senior leader for key clients by building trust, instilling confidence, and communicating effectively throughout each client's organization.
• Step in as the lead sales executive when necessary—taking the forefront during major pitches, asking for the sale, and supporting the team in selling whenever needed.
• Collaborate with the Legends Global Partnerships President and other leaders to pursue, pitch, and secure new business within the POD’s area of expertise.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field is required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in partnership sales, commercial development, or revenue generation within the sports, entertainment, media, or related industries.
• Demonstrated success in leading high-performing sales teams and consistently achieving or surpassing ambitious revenue objectives.
• Extensive experience in developing integrated partnership strategies, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and closing enterprise-level deals.
• Strong understanding of the sports and entertainment partnership landscape, with the ability to identify emerging categories and new market opportunities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Analytical and strategic thinker with robust business acumen and the capacity to transform market insights into actionable commercial strategies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with experience utilizing data to manage pipeline health, forecast revenue, and monitor team performance.
