Senior UX/UI Product Designer, Circle Expansion

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the comprehensive design of experiences that link families across distances, life stages, and types of relationships — ranging from daily reassurance to critical safety moments.

• Convert strategic objectives and user insights into sophisticated, scalable UI/UX solutions that align with Circle Expansion priorities.

• Lead initial design explorations focused on connection, safety, and context that cater to families throughout various life stages, relationship types, and the communities they navigate together.

• Quickly design and prototype using tools like Figma, AI-assisted technologies, and interactive frameworks, transitioning from concept to testable experience rapidly while iterating with actual members and stakeholders.

• Develop frameworks and interaction models that simplify complex experiences, making them feel intuitive and human-centered.

• Enhance the design system with scalable patterns applicable across different relationship types, life stages, and devices.

• Collaborate closely with Circle Expansion PM, engineering, research, and industrial design to achieve high-quality results across both software and hardware platforms.

• Impact roadmap decisions by aligning design closely with member needs, engagement, and business growth.

• Mentor and guide designers within the organization, exemplifying exceptional craftsmanship and systems thinking.

• Promote a strong design culture by integrating new practices and drawing inspiration from the wider industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience designing consumer-facing products in mobile-first settings, including complex multi-actor or multi-touchpoint experiences.

• A portfolio that showcases emotionally resonant, human-centered design work — experiences that successfully balance safety, dignity, and connection across diverse audiences, relationship types, and life stages.

• Proficient in prototyping and iteration; a strong capability to link design explorations back into a cohesive system.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; a proven history of influencing senior stakeholders.

• A systems thinker with experience in developing frameworks that are scalable across teams and platforms.

• Comfortable navigating both the problem and solution space — from initial discovery to detailed delivery.

• A positive, collaborative attitude combined with curiosity and humility.

• Experience with hardware-integrated solutions (e.g., wearables, GPS trackers) is a significant advantage.
