• Take full ownership of the UX design process for features and product areas, actively contributing to both the creative aspects and operational duties.
• Establish and execute AI-enhanced workflows to streamline DesignOps processes such as accessibility audits, documentation, token management, and other repetitive design tasks.
• Promote AI integration within teams and client projects by introducing innovative tools, enhancing AI knowledge, conducting experiments, and providing support for AI infrastructure, including automation pipelines, MCP servers, and prompt libraries.
• Oversee design system governance by ensuring its health, managing versioning, maintaining naming conventions, and tracking adoption rates.
• Choose, implement, and manage the design toolset (including Figma, prototyping tools, handoff solutions, and documentation platforms).
• Develop and sustain scalable design token systems and theming strategies across design and development environments, ensuring consistency, proper versioning, and support for multi-brand and multi-mode products.
• Foster token governance and adoption by setting naming conventions, integrating token pipelines between Figma and code, assisting teams with onboarding and tooling, and auditing consistency in implementation across products.
• Facilitate client workshops focused on DesignOps topics, including process optimization, design system strategy, team scaling, and engaging in pre-sales activities.
• Create user testing scenarios, conduct usability tests, and provide actionable insights based on the results.
• Mentor junior and mid-level designers on both the quality of their craft and efficient working methodologies.
• Provide accurate estimates for project design delivery efforts.
• Streamline design workflows end-to-end, from research and ideation through to review, handoff, and QA.
• 5–8 years of experience in UX/Product Design, showcasing substantial DesignOps experience, including process design, tooling, and design systems.
• Proven proficiency with tools such as Figma, Tokens.Studio, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated fluency in AI, with active use of AI-enhanced workflows and the capacity to assess and introduce AI tools for design teams, such as Lovable and Claude.
• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, etc.
• Strong foundational skills in design craft, capable of delivering hands-on design work beyond operational tasks.
• Proven track record in managing design systems, including governance, adoption, and cross-team coordination.
• Practical experience in creating and maintaining design token architectures, encompassing Figma Variables, Tokens Studio or similar, and token-to-code pipelines.
• A solid understanding of design tooling ecosystems, including Figma, documentation platforms, handoff tools, and automation solutions.
• Technical proficiency, comfortable working with developer workflows, CI/CD concepts, token pipelines, and API-based integrations.
