This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create user experiences for Caseware’s cloud-based audit, financial reporting, and data analytics solutions from initial problem identification through to implementation.
• Develop the team’s AI-assisted design methodology and assess, document, and disseminate effective tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with Engineering to design human-oversight moments within agentic workflows.
• Contribute to the evolution of Caseware’s design system and ensure that AI-generated user interfaces meet design-system and accessibility benchmarks.
• Plan and conduct user research, leveraging AI to analyze usability testing results.
• Lead interdisciplinary design discussions with Product and Engineering teams to influence product strategy and validate assumptions through prototypes.
• Act as a representative for Design to Team Leads, Development, Product, industry contacts, and external stakeholders.
• Spearhead cross-team initiatives across various product domains.
• Provide mentorship to junior and intermediate designers.
• Engage in design critiques and remain informed about UX, AI tools, and developments in the accounting software sector.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional UX experience.
• A portfolio showcasing design projects, leadership in problem-solving, and decision-making in uncertain situations.
• Passion for design craftsmanship and AI-assisted creation.
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles, including bias, transparency, accountability, and fostering trust in design.
• Proficiency in Figma Make, Claude Code, and Replit, including prompting, custom workflows, and output evaluation and refinement.
• Experience with human oversight elements in agentic or AI-enabled features.
• Experience in planning and executing comprehensive user research initiatives.
• Expertise in Figma and other design and prototyping tools.
• Significant experience in working with and advancing a component-based design system.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards.
• Capability to advocate for design direction to senior stakeholders and lead cross-team initiatives without formal authority.
• Experience in mentoring junior or intermediate designers.
• Excellent communication skills for guiding design discussions and articulating design rationale to non-designers.
• Familiarity with the accounting, audit, or financial services industries is advantageous.
• Previous experience in designing AI-driven or conversational product features is a plus.
