This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and manage the CEM design system, which includes the branded component library, token architecture, theming system, accessibility standards, and component API conventions.
• Collaborate with Engineering leadership to evaluate and choose the suitable component library framework for CEM’s technology stack.
• Develop and oversee the design token pipeline, facilitating the transition from Figma token authoring to front-end theme usage.
• Create, publish, and version the CEM component library as a shared and accessible package.
• Set and uphold component API standards, as well as prop and input conventions.
• Initiate and maintain automated visual regression testing using Chromatic or similar tools.
• Manage the CEM Storybook environment, serving as the shared design-development contract.
• Design and implement the Storybook MCP integration, making the CEM component library available to AI coding agents.
• Assess, propose, and incorporate AI development tools into the CEM front-end development workflow.
• Lead the front-end implementation of high-complexity CEM features.
• Act as the front-end technical authority within cross-functional product teams.
• Establish and uphold front-end code quality standards.
• A minimum of 5 years of front-end engineering experience, with increasing responsibilities in enterprise SaaS product organizations.
• Proven experience with both Angular and React in production settings, encompassing component architecture, state management, and performance optimization within each framework.
• Demonstrated ability to architect and take ownership of a production design system, including component library publishing, management of design token pipelines, Storybook stewardship, and engineering governance at scale.
• Established experience in implementing design token pipelines from start to finish, including design tool token authoring, Style Dictionary transformation, and front-end theme consumption, while understanding the interaction of each layer.
• Proven track record in enabling or governing AI-assisted front-end development workflows, including toolchain integration and quality review processes for AI-generated UI outputs.
• Excellent collaboration skills with UX Designers and Product Managers; capable of engaging credibly in design reviews, contributing to discovery, and translating design intent into engineering standards without losing fidelity.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
