Senior UI / 2D Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive UI solutions for gaming features, encompassing UX structure, interaction logic, and the final polished visual output.

• Design high-quality pop-ups, win screens, reward screens, feature screens, buttons, panels, frames, icons, badges, banners, promotional elements, and other UI assets for games.

• Convert Game Design and Product specifications into clear, intuitive, and visually engaging player experiences.

• Establish information hierarchy, user flows, interactions, CTA prioritization, and overall feature clarity utilizing strong UX principles.

• Produce highly refined, three-dimensional UI with emphasis on depth, lighting, materials, contrast, composition, and visual hierarchy.

• Work with typography and advanced text treatments, including dimensional lettering, gradients, bevels, shadows, highlights, glows, and premium title effects.

• Craft luxurious materials and effects such as gold, polished metal, glass, gems, glossy surfaces, reflections, illumination, glow, and decorative details.

• Ensure readability and usability within visually intricate casino compositions.

• Rapidly explore visual solutions and transform concepts into high-quality, production-ready assets within project timelines.

• Collaborate with the Art Director, Game Designers, Product, and Development teams while ensuring UI quality and visual execution.

• Create rich, dimensional, glossy, illuminated, tactile, and highly polished UI for pop-ups, win screens, rewards, promotional features, and significant player moments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level portfolio showcasing outstanding game UI and 2D visual design capabilities.

• Extensive experience in mobile games, preferably in social casino, slots, casino, or other highly refined game products.

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and professional 2D art workflows.

• Exceptional abilities in typography and text effects.

• Strong skills in icon design and rendering, including clear silhouettes, dimensionality, material definition, and a premium finish.

• Solid comprehension of UX principles, player flows, interaction design, information hierarchy, and feature usability.

• Capacity to independently conceptualize how a game feature should function, beyond its visual appearance.

• Advanced understanding of composition, color, lighting, contrast, materials, depth, and visual hierarchy.

• Strong capability to produce realistic and semi-realistic rendered UI, rather than predominantly relying on flat or vector-based design.

• Ability to work swiftly, independently, and consistently maintain a high-quality standard, even under changing production demands.

• Keen attention to detail and the skill to elevate artwork from a good initial draft to a polished, premium final product.

• 3D knowledge or experience with Blender, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, or similar tools is beneficial.

• Ability to incorporate 3D in UI art workflows for icons, objects, materials, lighting, perspective, or base renders, followed by high-quality 2D paint-over and refinement is advantageous.

• Experience in creating assets and visual systems specifically for slot or social casino games is an advantage.

• Understanding of animation/VFX principles for UI is a plus.
