This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia, +1 more country.
• Develop high-quality concept art for characters, vehicles, environments, props, and other essential visual components.
• Create designs that align with the project's stylized visual direction.
• Generate ideas through sketches, thumbnails, silhouettes, color studies, and refined concepts.
• Collaborate with the Art Director to establish and uphold the project's visual language.
• Deliver production-ready concepts that include design callouts, turnarounds, material specifications, and supporting references.
• Provide paintovers and visual solutions for 3D artists.
• Set visual benchmarks and contribute to maintaining the project's quality standards.
• Utilize shape language, proportion, color, value, composition, and visual hierarchy in stylized design.
• Work alongside character, environment, vehicle, animation, and various other art disciplines.
• Revise designs based on feedback while preserving design intent.
• Assist in defining and developing the visual identity of an unannounced stylized game project.
• Demonstrated experience as a Concept Artist in gaming or a closely related entertainment sector.
• Strong portfolio showcasing stylized concept characters, vehicles, and environments of high quality.
• Excellent stylized design capabilities, including shape language, silhouette, color, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Proficient drawing and digital painting skills.
• Ability to clearly and efficiently communicate ideas.
• Capability to transition from early ideation to polished, production-ready concepts.
• Understanding of form, perspective, anatomy, proportion, lighting, and color theory.
• Ability to create visually engaging designs that are practical for downstream 3D production.
• Comfortable working with diverse subject matter.
• Ability to interpret an Art Director's vision and explore multiple creative solutions within an established visual style.
• Comfortable collaborating across various disciplines and iterating quickly based on feedback.
• Experience on a shipped game project is preferred.
• Familiarity with 3D tools or basic 3D workflows is advantageous.
• Relevant working rights for Malaysia and Indonesia are required.
