Senior Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Act on behalf of insured clients and the Company in lawsuits related to bodily injury and property damage, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases.

• Prepare for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.

• Draft and present pre- and post-trial motions.

• Provide assistance to colleagues in managing calendar conflicts.

• Offer legal counsel to business clients on everyday legal issues.

• Oversee projects and facilitate coordination among legal teams.

• Track and assess new laws, regulations, and case law developments.

• Identify and summarize pertinent legal matters.

• Work in collaboration with the Law and Regulation department.

• Advise business units regarding the implications of new legislation.

• Supervise legal representation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a license to practice law in the state of California.

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar are required.

• A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated litigation experience or strong litigation-related skills.

• Experience as first or second chair in jury trials.

• Preference for candidates with proven insurance defense experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and online research skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff under the direction of Lead Counsel.

• Capability to manage a significant caseload.

• Comfortable with remote work settings.

• Willingness to travel across California for trials and court appearances as necessary.

• Applicants may reside in California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, or Oregon.

• Must have a dedicated, distraction-free workspace with suitable desk and seating arrangements.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is required.

• Background investigation is mandatory.

• Allstate typically does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this role.
