Senior Transplant Coordinator – Care Coordination

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee high-level internal and external relationships, organ transplants, and department escalations.

• Address department escalations through collaboration with internal teams and vendors.

• Represent the department in cross-functional team meetings and offer strategic insights.

• Mentor and work alongside the Associate Liaison.

• Manage vendor relationships and implement process enhancements.

• Provide expert support for organ transplant claims and contracts.

• Document intricate systems, processes, procedures, workflows, and improvements.

• Act as the subject matter expert on transplant claims and contracts for the Claims Team and transplant vendors.

• Ensure accurate pricing and payment of transplant claims.

• Conduct training for internal staff, external clients, and vendors as necessary.

• Act as a backup for the Case Management Supervisor.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in healthcare or health insurance.

• Experience as a transplant coordinator is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Proficient in advanced medical terminology.

• Specialization in organ transplants.

• Extensive experience in contract negotiation.

• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

• Capability to work with cable broadband or fiber internet service with a minimum of 100Mbps download and 25Mbps upload.
