
Senior Transmission Line Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Puerto Rico.
• Lead and manage intricate transmission line designs from initial engineering concepts through to final design completion.
• Offer senior-level technical guidance and expertise to the design team.
• Conduct essential engineering studies, including conductor economic evaluations, lightning performance assessments, grounding calculations, and electrical clearance determinations in accordance with NESC and relevant standards.
• Analyze and apply regulatory requirements such as NERC, FERC, and regional standards.
• Prepare and review technical documents, including specifications, data sheets, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor drawings, and purchasing recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers on project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, construction support, and change order management.
• Execute and oversee QA/QC processes for engineering deliverables.
• Carry out and lead field inspections, measurements, calculations, and reviews of installations.
• Develop and deliver technical reports.
• Provide mentorship, leadership, and support to junior engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or a related discipline).
• Over 5 years of experience in transmission line engineering (design, analysis, modeling, or similar roles).
• More than 5 years of experience working with an electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm.
• At least 5 years of experience using PLS-CADD.
