Senior Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Test Engineers to define the testing scope for each product and release by outlining, reviewing, and authoring test scenarios.

• Organize test activities, monitor progress and strategies, ensure priority alignment within the team, and facilitate agreement on environments and tools.

• Evaluate product quality by analyzing requirements and design documentation, and producing test scenarios, test cases, and test data, including the automation of test cases.

• Execute product-quality evaluations through testing and communicate the results.

• Consistently review and enhance product quality, requirements, and testing methodologies.

• Utilize test-analysis and test-automation patterns to guarantee requirement coverage and enable swift, reliable test execution.

• Integrate with the Development team and work closely with a prominent client's IT team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Information Technology.

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in IT.

• Practical experience in developing test strategies, plans, scenarios, and cases, including their execution.

• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, Kreya, or similar.

• Familiarity with databases and SQL, containerized solutions, and observability tools.

• Proficient in writing and modifying automated tests.

• Experience in system integration testing.

• Strong understanding of testing standards and methodologies.

• Experience in defect management, including prioritization and root-cause analysis.

• Skilled in complex enterprise system integration.

• Experience in managing end-user (UAT) processes.

• Familiarity with test and defect management tools.

• Experience with Agile software development and testing practices.

• Ability to grasp business context, set priorities, communicate with technology-focused teams, and articulate test-campaign results.

• Proficient command of the English language.
