This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and update the Platform Engineering Architecture Blueprint, reference architectures, and Golden Path Templates.
• Develop Engineering Standards Catalogs, golden-path documentation, and progressive, task-oriented guidance.
• Write and manage platform operations runbooks, architecture decision records, and incident/change-management documentation.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, security engineers, and technical product managers to ensure the accuracy of documentation and integrity of implementation.
• Implement accessibility standards, inclusive language practices, and compliance-driven content constraints.
• Create content for the Developer Onboarding Toolkit and Self-Service Platform Portal, including setup guides, service catalogs, and searchable knowledge repositories.
• Investigate underlying systems, policies, and workflows to ensure documentation accuracy.
• Utilize adoption metrics, developer feedback, and support-ticket trends to enhance documentation and boost developer confidence.
• Assist with Compliance Posture Reports and Quarterly Platform Maturity Assessments by documenting policy adherence and remediation efforts.
• Execute other relevant tasks as qualified and trained.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, along with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in a software engineering or technical product setting, with proven proficiency in writing and documentation.
• Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Datadog, Jira, Confluence, Slack, or Figma.
• Understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and SLOs.
• Ability to craft clear, action-oriented, plain-language content for complex digital workflows that involve sensitive or transactional data.
• Demonstrated success in minimizing confusion, form errors, and abandonment through structured microcopy, guidance patterns, and progressive disclosure.
• Strong grasp of accessibility standards, inclusive language practices, and compliance-driven content constraints.
• Experience collaborating with product, legal, compliance, and engineering teams.
• Capability to leverage usability findings and performance data to refine content and enhance customer confidence.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience in writing, revising, sourcing, and compiling content.
• Ability to secure and maintain a High Risk Public Trust clearance.
