
Senior Technical Sales Specialist – Spatial Imaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Consistently meet or surpass sales objectives by nurturing current business, prospecting for additional opportunities, and making cold calls to establish new accounts.
• Implement effective sales strategies that encompass prospecting, qualification, value-driven selling, and closing deals.
• Utilize product, application, and workflow expertise to present solutions, conduct technical demonstrations, and encourage customer adoption.
• Oversee sales opportunities through disciplined pipeline management, including forecasting, determining next steps, and creating close plans.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and engage with key stakeholders within accounts.
• Participate in sales meetings, seminars, and trade exhibitions.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and channel partners to achieve desired results.
• Exhibit a robust technical comprehension of spatial biology to enhance engagement, stimulate sales growth, and establish relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL) in the spatial imaging sector.
• Maintain a consistent operational rhythm to manage territory performance, which includes funnel management and account planning, while achieving key performance indicators (KPI).
• Regularly update the CRM system (Salesforce) to ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline health, and visibility of business performance.
• Create quarterly account and territory plans that outline targeted sales strategies and actions to reach revenue objectives, along with mitigation strategies to address gaps.
• Share market insights, competitive intelligence, and best practices with internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree along with 6-8 years of relevant work experience, ideally in laboratory or scientific industries, or 5 years of experience with a graduate degree.
• Strong technical knowledge in the spatial biology domain, with the capability to comprehend and convey customer applications and workflows.
• Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding sales targets in instrumentation, laboratory, or scientific sales.
• Proven customer-first approach to cultivate relationships at all levels, resolve issues, and contribute value to support research objectives.
• Experience in a matrixed, collaborative working environment.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to adapt to and embrace change.
• Highly driven to meet sales targets and capture market share from competitors.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 25-75% within the assigned territory.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. independently.
