Senior Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee 1–3 projects from start to finish, leading teams of 5–25 individuals while taking full responsibility for scope, schedule, quality, budget, and margin across Time & Material and Fixed Price contracts.

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to evaluate technical assumptions, dependencies, and integration challenges, incorporating these into delivery plans.

• Organize resources and team capacity, managing scope adjustments through a well-defined change request process.

• Serve as the primary operational contact for clients, facilitating status meetings, coordinating demonstrations, and addressing delivery issues.

• Actively manage risks and issues, escalating them promptly with a clear evaluation of their impact and suggested next steps.

• Track project margin and team utilization, ensuring monthly revenue forecasts are maintained.

• Assist in proposals by providing effort estimates, delivery strategies, and staffing plans, in collaboration with architects and technical leads.

• Identify opportunities to broaden the engagement and communicate them with the Account Manager and Business Unit Director.

• Build and nurture project teams in partnership with Line Management and the HR Department.

⛳️ Requirements

• A solid technical foundation backed by hands-on experience in software development, testing, or systems engineering.

• Proven experience in delivering HMI or embedded software projects with a comprehensive understanding of architecture, integration, testing, and technical dependencies.

• A minimum of 6 years in IT project management, including at least 3 years in software services for international clients.

• Experience overseeing both Fixed Price and Time & Material projects, with accountability for budgets and project margins.

• A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and the capability to convert technical constraints into feasible plans and estimates.

• Confidence in managing client expectations and leading challenging discussions regarding scope, costs, and delays.

• Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.

• Familiarity with cloud-connected products, IoT backends, or AWS/Azure services.

• Knowledge of C/C++, embedded Linux, Yocto, RTOS, or Qt/QML.

• Experience in delivering software for consumer devices or automotive applications.

• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.

• Experience with Build-Operate-Transfer projects or dedicated client teams.

• Familiarity with ASPICE or ISO 26262 standards.

• Proficiency in the German language.

• PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certification.
