Senior Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the AI Engineering Lead to co-manage the AI roadmap, encompassing technical vision, evaluation of emerging AI technologies, and assessment of solution feasibility.

• Discover opportunities for leveraging generative AI and predictive models to enhance systems, processes, and feature sets.

• Address systemic technical challenges across data pipelines, backend services, and model deployment layers.

• Oversee the engineering escalation pipeline based on data dependencies.

• Execute SQL queries to validate, inspect, and analyze both training and production datasets.

• Coordinate system deployments and model release cycles alongside developers, DevOps, and systems engineering teams.

• Supervise deployment activities during maintenance windows and ensure prompt engineering resolutions.

• Monitor and manage project management tasks in Jira, including backlog, active sprints, and delivery status updates.

• Convert technical findings and system constraints into actionable insights for non-technical leadership.

• Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of multi-team AI projects and system-wide dependencies.

• Facilitate sprint planning and backlog grooming using Jira and Confluence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline with 7+ years of technical project management experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.

• Strong understanding of fundamental AI/ML concepts, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning versus prompting, and model evaluations.

• Familiarity with data pipeline infrastructure.

• Proficiency in writing and executing basic to intermediate SQL queries.

• Capability to interpret backend web application components and understand system data relationships.

• Comfortable utilizing modern AI-assisted engineering productivity tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or automated workflow agents.

• Previous experience in deploying production-grade generative AI features, agentic workflows, or NLP applications is preferred.

• Experience with incident management or high-pressure production support in cloud computing environments is preferred.
