This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the planning and execution of large, complex, and highly visible engineering programs with high-quality standards.
• Establish project goals and success metrics in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Outline project requirements and execution strategies; monitor program progress and results.
• Relay priorities, risks, and changes to stakeholders effectively.
• Promote teamwork, collaboration, efficiency, and high-quality deliverables.
• Propose and lead initiatives that benefit the organization as a whole.
• Maintain and enhance the operational excellence framework for retailer launches.
• Drive initiatives that improve Instacart products, applications, platforms, and customer experiences.
• Advance the Enterprise platform to fulfill retailer requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, Design, Business Development, Product Operations, Sales Engineering, and additional teams.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-graduation work experience in a technology-related field.
• Background as a technical program manager, project manager, product manager, software engineer, or in a similar technical role.
• Proficiency in creating functional specifications, establishing program frameworks, and influencing program strategies.
• Experience managing intricate, multi-organization programs from inception to completion through the software development lifecycle.
• Skill in distilling information, communicating priorities and risks, and crafting narratives for stakeholders.
• Ability to comprehend technical and execution challenges, pinpoint issues, and define preventive measures.
• Proven capability to build trust and partnerships with senior Engineering and Product leaders.
• Ability to work independently and achieve milestones within deadlines and budgets.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technology or engineering discipline is required.
• A Master’s degree in a technology/engineering discipline is preferred.
• Preferred qualifications include technical domain knowledge, experience in architectural and strategic decision-making, familiarity with program management processes, and experience in e-commerce at scale.
