This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee intricate, multi-team programs that encompass core banking, card issuing, ledger management, authorization, settlement, disputes, fraud, and payment processing areas.
• Propel the execution of strategic projects from initial concept to full production launch.
• Create and uphold program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and criteria for success.
• Provide transparent visibility to leadership regarding delivery status, obstacles, and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Architecture teams to guarantee scalable and robust solutions.
• Analyze and question technical designs, architectural trade-offs, and implementation strategies.
• Foster alignment on technical requirements, non-functional requirements (NFRs), operational readiness, scalability, security, and resiliency goals.
• Detect integration, performance, reliability, and operational risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate efforts across Product Management, Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Architecture, Client Delivery, Compliance, and Operations teams.
• Promote accountability and resolution of dependencies across teams.
• Facilitate planning, execution, release readiness, and post-launch evaluations.
• Ensure alignment between business goals and engineering efforts.
• Support strategic client initiatives involving major financial institutions and enterprise clients.
• Lead preparations for significant client launches, platform migrations, and production deployments.
• Effectively communicate technical and delivery risks to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee risk management, issue resolution, and escalation procedures.
• Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to enhance delivery predictability and execution quality.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 2 years of experience with a PhD, OR a total of 11+ years of relevant work experience.
• At least 9 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 7 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 3 or more years with a PhD.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in technical program management, engineering management, or software delivery leadership with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
• Experience collaborating with global, distributed engineering teams.
• Familiarity with highly regulated financial sectors.
• Proficient understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
• Experience utilizing Jira, Confluence, and program management tools.
• Knowledge of active-active architectures, disaster recovery, resiliency testing, and non-functional requirements.
• Strong grasp of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven systems, and public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), along with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Expertise in risk management, dependency management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Exceptional communication and executive presentation abilities.
• Proven track record of influencing outcomes without direct authority.
• Background in software engineering, computer science, or systems architecture.
• Experience working with Tier-1 banks, payment processors, or global fintech platforms.
