Senior Technical Product Owner

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the long-term product vision and strategy for the Product Analytics team, ensuring it aligns with organizational objectives, customer requirements, and market dynamics while influencing executive product decisions.

• Oversee the creation, maintenance, and communication of a multi-horizon product roadmap, making strategic prioritization choices that balance short-term delivery with long-term platform investment.

• Manage and govern the entire product backlog, ensuring that all initiatives are well-defined, appropriately prioritized, and aligned with business value and customer impact.

• Direct the comprehensive requirements process from stakeholder discovery to detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring engineering teams have the necessary clarity to deliver confidently.

• Act as a highly engaged technical partner to Engineering teams, contributing to architectural discussions, evaluating technical trade-offs, and ensuring that proposed data solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with product objectives.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with executive and senior leadership stakeholders, proactively communicating roadmap progress, risks, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations with clarity and confidence.

• Lead interactions with internal and external stakeholders to collect feedback, validate product decisions, and advocate for the voice of the customer throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Create and manage the framework for measuring product success, defining KPIs, interpreting analytics, and utilizing data to continually refine and enhance the product experience.

• Collaborate with operations, enablement, and customer success teams to direct the go-to-market strategy for new features and capabilities, including rollout planning, documentation, training, and stakeholder communication.

• Proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and trade-offs across the product portfolio, ensuring leadership has complete visibility into delivery health and strategic implications.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior product owners, managers, and analysts by conducting reviews, sharing best practices, and contributing to the overall growth and maturity of the product management discipline at CrowdStrike.

• Conduct ongoing research into industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to managed detection and response, translating findings into strategic product opportunities.

• Define and uphold the highest standards for product data documentation, including product analytics metrics, established operational standards, and product data catalogs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.

• 7+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, with a minimum of 4+ years in a senior technical product owner or senior technical product manager role.

• Extensive technical expertise with hands-on experience in software architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure concepts, with the ability to engage as a credible technical partner to engineering teams.

• Proven history of owning and delivering complex, multi-horizon product roadmaps in a fast-paced agile environment.

• Demonstrated experience in setting product vision and influencing executive-level product strategy across the organization.

• Expert-level proficiency in agile and scrum methodologies, with experience leading and governing agile practices across multiple teams; Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification is a plus.

• Strong command of data-driven product decision-making; proficiency in SQL and experience with analytics tools is strongly preferred.

• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives for senior audiences.

• Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority, navigating organizational complexity with confidence and diplomacy.

• Significant experience working in or alongside managed detection and response, SOC operations, or cybersecurity environments is highly preferred.

• Experience mentoring junior product owners or managers, with a passion for developing talent and enhancing product management capabilities across a team.

• Deep familiarity with Snowflake, Tableau, and Salesforce is strongly preferred.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Proven experience in utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
