This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead a team of engineers in the development of workload security solutions deployed for customers.
• Contribute architectural insights to backend services emphasizing scale, performance, reliability, robustness, and security.
• Gather and manage telemetry data at scale from various data sources within customer environments.
• Respond to environmental changes and enforce policies across a large number of enforcement points.
• Develop low-latency API endpoints capable of handling substantial data volumes.
• Design and maintain services operating in intricate distributed-system settings with unique failure characteristics.
• Work collaboratively with customers, peers, technical solution architects, customer enablement engineers, and support engineers.
• Leverage rapid prototyping and customer feedback to enhance products and deliver features for customers.
• Architect, design, analyze, and brainstorm innovative technical solutions.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in building software systems.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Go, C++, or Java.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role within a software engineering context.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience, Master’s degree with 6 years, PhD with 3 years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, systems, databases, performance engineering, and security architecture.
• Experience in schema/data modeling design.
• Knowledge of large-scale event processing architectures.
• Background in systems programming and performance engineering.
• Familiarity with security architecture and database design.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Proficient in programming with cloud APIs for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Capability to serve as a technically adept leader who embraces Agile practices and rapid prototyping.
• Skillful in architecting, designing, analyzing, and brainstorming product solutions.
