Senior Technical Lead – App Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee Site Reliability Engineering initiatives for large-scale applications, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and performance.

• Facilitate runtime operations as well as the application development lifecycle.

• Design and execute automation, scaling, auto-recovery, redundancy, and availability strategies.

• Plan for application and infrastructure capacity while managing SLA/SLO considerations.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines.

• Utilize APM and observability tools to monitor both applications and infrastructure.

• Execute proofs of concept and adapt successful POCs for enterprise-level deployment.

• Integrate AI technologies and generative AI tools within the reliability engineering domain.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of IT experience with Java web/enterprise projects.

• Strong understanding of runtime support and the application development lifecycle.

• Knowledge of reliability principles and design, including automation, scaling, auto-recovery, redundancy, and availability.

• Familiarity with application/infrastructure capacity planning and SLA/SLO management.

• High proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Java frameworks.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud computing environments.

• AWS certification is a plus.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with CloudBees or Jenkins.

• Proficient with APM/observability tools such as New Relic, Datadog, Dynatrace, and Splunk.

• Practical experience with PCF, App-Pilot, and Presto.

• Capable of conducting POCs and scaling them for enterprise application.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Solid grasp of AI technologies.

• Familiarity with generative AI tools and technologies, including GHCP, Claude, and AWS Bedrock.
