
Senior Technical Consultant – Data Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the implementation, modernization, and enhancement of enterprise Data Protection environments.
• Convert both business and technical requirements into scalable and resilient Data Protection solutions.
• Execute intricate infrastructure projects while acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Configure and design backup platforms to maximize data protection efficiency.
• Deploy technologies in data centers and cloud environments, including Cohesity, Rubrik, Dell DP Suite, and Commvault.
• Set up backups across various hypervisors, cloud platforms, databases, and Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and carry out disaster recovery tests.
• Ensure secure, resilient, and high-performance environments through networking and infrastructure expertise.
• Lead initiatives in performance tuning and capacity management.
• Develop solution designs, implementation strategies, operational procedures, and materials for knowledge transfer.
• Serve as the technical point of contact during delivery engagements, status meetings, cutovers, and escalations.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, account teams, and customer stakeholders.
• Offer post-implementation knowledge transfer, conduct root cause analysis, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the quality of delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in Data Protection, cloud computing, and infrastructure.
• Assist in the project-based delivery of new data center and cloud technologies, upgrades, and system migrations.
• Hands-on experience in delivering enterprise Data Protection infrastructure, preferably in consulting, professional services, or complex client environments.
• Strong expertise in Cohesity, Commvault, Rubrik, Dell Data Protection Suite, and similar enterprise technologies.
• Experience with SAN implementation and interoperability analysis.
• Proven experience integrating Data Protection solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Ability to troubleshoot intricate Data Protection and connectivity issues in multi-site environments, cloud platforms, firewalls, hosts, and supporting infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, including the ability to articulate risks and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work independently in client-facing delivery settings.
• Understanding of AI, VMware, Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Strong skills in presentation, diagramming, whiteboarding, and storytelling.
• Expertise in racking, stacking, and cabling hardware.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Must obtain necessary Data Protection certifications relevant to the Practice.
• Availability for after-hours and weekend work as needed for client engagements.
• Travel to customer sites as required by client engagements.
• Support for acquiring required Data Protection certifications to further development and contribute to the success of the Practice.
