Senior Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Plan, direct, and manage Elastic consulting engagements to enhance customer value derived from Elastic products.

• Design, implement, and configure Elastic solutions, concentrating on platform architecture, solution design, and capacity planning.

• Establish robust customer relationships and serve as a customer advocate.

• Create and deliver demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that highlight the Elastic Stack.

• Perform data modeling, query development, optimization, and cluster tuning.

• Work collaboratively with consultants to address complex technical challenges.

• Review and validate technical consulting reports that detail project outcomes and recommendations.

• Guide and mentor consultants through enablement programs, shadowing, and training initiatives.

• Engage in technical interviews to evaluate and onboard new consultants.

• Operate within a remote, highly distributed team environment with occasional on-site engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• This is a remote position with the ability to travel 30-40% of the time.

• No security clearance is necessary, but the candidate must be able to complete the DHS EOD process.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a consultant or technical instructor in client-facing roles is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in a role such as Systems Engineer/Administrator, Network Engineer/Administrator, Cloud Engineer/Administrator, or a similar position.

• Demonstrated ability to gather customer requirements, plan, and deliver technical solutions that meet business objectives.

• Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing Elasticsearch or comparable distributed data technology solutions.

• Strong knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems, including command-line interfaces.

• Familiarity with information retrieval and analytics fields.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Programming proficiency in at least one language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.

• Experience with databases, including SQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB, or other similar NoSQL technologies.

• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new Elastic technologies.

• A DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, such as Security+, or an equivalent Intermediate Compliant Certification is required, and must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held.

• Experience as a technical instructor or public speaker on enterprise infrastructure software topics is advantageous.

• Certifications or expertise in tools such as Ansible, GitHub, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Redis, or cloud platforms are considered a plus.

• Familiarity with network data, cybersecurity data, and system logs is an additional benefit.

• A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is a plus.

• Possessing Elastic certifications is an added advantage.
