Senior Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold Low-Level Designs that align with Solution Architecture, UX wireframes, and the evolving requirements of the business.

• Advocate for architectural standards, oversee technical debt, and spearhead initiatives focused on refactoring and technical enhancements.

• Publish and manage API contracts, assist the Developer Portal, and collaborate across various technical domains.

• Direct documentation, standardization, proof-of-concept projects, and mentor architects while advising contractors and development leads.

• Function across domains to facilitate discovery, provide guidance to stakeholders, assess risks, and ensure appropriate technical choices are made.

• Engage with Product, Engineering, UX, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

• Aid in incident resolution, shape requirements, assess emerging technologies, and maintain a modern, scalable, secure, and cost-effective application portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or comparable industry experience.

• AWS certifications are a plus.

• Over 8 years of experience in building commercial applications.

• More than 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS, preferably in a serverless environment.

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging architectures, such as RabbitMQ/SQS.

• Proficient in modern API design.

• Experience with databases, including Oracle, SAP, RDS, and NoSQL.

• Understanding of DevOps principles.

• Capable of reading and interpreting contemporary code.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and documentation abilities.

• Competence in mentoring others.
